1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Munrel, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, which constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Munrel, a company established in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must immediately stop using our service.

2. Description of the service

Munrel is a voice transcription application that converts your audio recordings into text in real time. The service includes:

  • Real-time voice transcription
  • Customizable AI-powered transcription workflows
  • Transcription history
  • Optional cloud sync
  • Integration with third-party transcription services

3. User account and authentication

3.1 Account creation

  • An account is required for certain features
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for the security of your account
  • Only one account per person is permitted

3.2 OAuth authentication

  • Authentication is performed via Google or GitHub
  • We do not store your passwords
  • You can revoke access at any time from your Google/GitHub account

4. Acceptable use

4.1 Permitted uses

  • Transcription of your own voice recordings
  • Personal and professional use
  • Integration into your own workflows

4.2 Prohibited uses

  • Transcription of illegal, offensive, or defamatory content
  • Violation of others' privacy (recordings without consent)
  • Circumventing technical limitations
  • Use for spam or malicious activities
  • Resale or redistribution of the service
  • Reverse engineering or attempting unauthorized access

5. Licensing and subscriptions

5.1 License types

  • Free version: basic features with limitations
  • Pro version: advanced features and extended quotas
  • Enterprise version: custom solutions for organizations

5.2 Payments and renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance
  • Automatic renewal unless canceled
  • No refunds for partially used periods
  • Prices may change with 30 days' prior notice

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our property

Munrel, its source code, design, algorithms, and trademarks are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the application
  • Use our trademarks without authorization
  • Create derivative works

7. Service quality and limitations

7.1 Availability

  • We aim for 99.9% availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance may occur
  • Interruptions may occur for technical reasons

7.2 Transcription accuracy

  • Accuracy depends on audio quality and language
  • We do not guarantee 100% accuracy
  • Results may vary depending on usage conditions

8. Privacy and security

  • Your data is protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • We use industry-standard security measures
  • Audio recordings are processed in real time and deleted immediately
  • You can delete your data at any time

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted under Swiss law, particularly the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), Munrel shall not be liable for:

  • Data loss or service interruptions (except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence)
  • Transcription errors or inaccuracies due to audio quality
  • Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Misuse by third parties
  • Issues related to your equipment or internet connection
  • Force majeure or circumstances beyond our control

Monetary limitation: in the event of proven liability, our liability is limited to the amount of subscription fees paid during the 12 months preceding the incident, in accordance with Art. 100 CO. This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct, gross negligence, or violation of personality rights.

Consumers: if you are a consumer within the meaning of the Federal Act on Unfair Competition (UCA/LCD), your statutory rights cannot be limited beyond what Swiss law permits.

10. Termination

10.1 By you

  • You may stop using the service at any time
  • You can delete your account from the settings
  • Subscriptions can be canceled with effect at the next billing cycle

10.2 By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access in the event of:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Fraudulent or abusive use
  • Non-payment of subscription fees
  • Illegal or harmful activity

11. Changes to the terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be notified by email or through the application. Continued use after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

Applicable law: these Terms of Service are governed exclusively by Swiss substantive law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

Jurisdiction: any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the Canton of Vaud, with venue in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland.

EU/EEA consumers: if you are a consumer residing in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you retain the right to bring an action before the courts of your place of residence, in accordance with the Brussels I bis Regulation.

Mediation: before any legal action, we encourage amicable dispute resolution. You may contact our legal department at [email protected] or seek mediation via the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation.

13. Regulatory compliance

Data protection: the processing of your personal data complies with our Privacy Policy and the requirements of the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP/nLPD) and the GDPR.

Accessibility: we strive to make our service accessible in accordance with international standards (WCAG 2.1) and the Swiss Federal Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against People with Disabilities (LHand).

Intellectual property rights: we respect third-party intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same, in accordance with the Swiss Copyright Act (LDA).

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Munrel regarding the use of our services. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, or negotiations relating to this subject matter.

These Terms of Service comply with the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO), the Federal Act on Unfair Competition (UCA/LCD), Swiss data protection law (nFADP/nLPD), and applicable European regulations (GDPR).
